Dear bands, agents and other involved,

As you might imagine, we receive a lot of offers for shows by artists like you or ones you represent. While we read all your e-mail, it’s not always possible to answer all of them. MeetFactory has a music hall with a capacity of 1000 people. With very few exceptions, such as summer DJ-lounge that takes place outdoor, this is the only space we do music events in, has a live music PA, lights, stage, etc.

No bands want to play for an empty venue and no visitors like to go to a empty club. The minimum amount of people for which the venue has the right kind of atmosphere *and* works economically is around 250 people. If you usually play for smaller crowds, there are some great smaller venues in Prague, that can host your show – Klub 007 (capacity 250), Final Club (capacity 100) or Cross Club (capacity 350) to name a few.

As for opening slots, unless it's a tour package when the headliner picks their own support band, we tend to book upcoming local (Czech & Slovak) acts as a way to kickstart or support their careers and allow them to play bigger stage or crowd than they are usualy used to.

Additionally, while we personally listen to all kinds of music, we tend to promote mostly indie-rock, alternative, singers/songwriter or electronic music. If you’re playing other genres, you might get better chances if you work with a venue or promoter that specializes in your genre and can attract the right crowd for your show.
