Anežka Hošková, Lucie Svoboda Mičíková, Pavel Příkaský: A Moment of Stillness

The exhibition A Moment of Stillness was created as a curatorial challenge to three prominent painters to create monumental murals for the Kostka Gallery. Anežka Hošková, Lucie Svoboda Mičíková and Pavel Příkaský decided to combine their individual manuscripts into one intertwined whole and to work closely together on a realisation that exceeds all their previous projects in scale. They were inspired by the classic fairy tale The Sleeping Beauty and Ursula Le Guin's short story The Poacher. A moment of stasis, as if of suspended time, as a situation charged with potentiality.
