Amen Dunes (US)

Amen Dunes’ fifth studio album was well worth the long wait. Over the past four years, Damon McMahon & co. have started recording, scrapped it and started again. Finally, with the backing of Chris Coady (Beach House, Future Islands, We Are Scientists) they created a bold and mature record, that tames the typical psych-folk delirium into the indie pop format, yet pays homage to McMahon’s electro-rock origins. “Album of the year so far” by many – in the long overdue Prague live debut – will be heard at MeetFactory on Tuesday, Sep 18.
