Art ACADEMY with Darina Alster - Jewelry PET

Spring is coming, so of course we need something new to wear! This workshop is for men and women who love to wear and decorate unique and unusual accessories. Together with DIY graphic designer Kateřina Tylšarová we will produce beautiful jewelry using PET, bottles, and other plastic materials. We will burn, cut, twist and iron the bottles, rendering the origins of the materials hardly recognizable. We'll have beads, safety pins, wires, and all kinds of tools to use and create. If you can, please bring PET plastic bottles with different colors and sizes. 

For the summer semester the Student Academy will dive into the adventures of artistic creation. Each month we will focus on a different artistic discipline. We'll be recognizing a wide range of directions in which contemporary art issues from fine artwork under the microscope through personal styling to large format murals in downtown Prague. Creativity has no limits. Art can be seen almost anywhere and everywhere, depending on each person's discretion and taste. Life is about creating. Art is life.

About Student Academy: Student Academy are leisure activities for high school students free of charge. Under the slogan "Do what you enjoy" from 2010, it offers students art workshops which are held in attractive locations, under the leadership of interesting personalities from the cultural scene. Since the autumn of 2012, the  Art & Design Academy workshops take place regularly 2 times a month in MeetFactory.
