Art ACADEMY with Darina Alster - Solar System

Do these winter days seem endlessly dark? Together we can make special colorful and playful lights! Exchanged within the workshop, we will play with UV and phosphorus colors. We will produce objects inspired by the vibrant planets and hang them like the sun in space in different frameworks. We can make the lights into anything you can imagine. This workshop is also loosely inspired by music of the spheres, Platonic polyhedra, medieval symbols of the planets and the latest projections and mapping light installations from Czech and foreign artists.

For the summer semester the Student Academy will dive into the adventures of artistic creation. Each month we will focus on a different artistic discipline. We'll be recognizing a wide range of directions in which contemporary art issues from fine artwork under the microscope through personal styling to large format murals in downtown Prague. Creativity has no limits. Art can be seen almost anywhere and everywhere, depending on each person's discretion and taste. Life is about creating. Art is life.

About Student Academy: Student Academy are leisure activities for high school students free of charge. Under the slogan "Do what you enjoy" from 2010, it offers students art workshops which are held in attractive locations, under the leadership of interesting personalities from the cultural scene. Since the autumn of 2012, the  Art & Design Academy workshops take place regularly 2 times a month in MeetFactory.
