We're sad to announce that this show, along with the band's whole European tour has been cancelled due to illnes of Fat White Family's singer. Here's the statement by Lias Saoudi himself:
"I'm really disappointed to announce that we won't be able to continue this months tour. This is due to health problems and having to undergo some throat surgery. I'd like to apologise to anyone who was planning on coming to the shows and to my fellow Fat Whites, I know this is a real let down! All the shows will be rescheduled for early next year. Struggle on brothers and sisters...”
We'll announce the new date in coming month and are sorry for any inconvenience this might have caused.
FWF are young & fit, based in London, unpredictable on stage and subject to various rumors. Behind their stage-antics, undressing and chanting political messages, there’s a sizeable talent for stark songwriting and their frontman Lias Saudi gets compared to Mark E Smith (who joined them on stage and who is the subject of their latest single “I am Mark E Smith”) from the legendary The Fall. Their music shamelessly mix post-punk and rock’n’roll attitude with lo-fi aesthetics, in gigs they add 105% vitality. Be there, dancing madly and topless, or be square.
Charlie Boyer & The Voyeurs rank among the new British guitar wave that includes Savages, Toy or Temples (with whom they share their label, Heavenly Recordings) and they’re friends with The Horrors (with whom they share stages). They sound like “channeling mid-70s NYC art-punk in the back room of a scuzzed-up East End pub” and in October they’re to release the sophomore album “Rhubarb, Rhubarb”, but before that, they’ll show up in Prague to confirm their enthusiastic live show antics.
