After two years, the lo–fi psych funk of the eclectic Seattle quartet Forest Ray returns to MeetFactory. Since their last European tour in support of the album Windfucker, the band has released a string of singles, teasing their upcoming sixth studio record. Here the band rediscovers their signature raw analog sound, blending influences of lo-fi garage rock, Americana, psychedelic country, and folk.

The night will kick off with emerging local band star51. Over two years ago, Sophia and Toli decided to record an album of their musical ideas. Together with other friends, the current lineup of star51 – which now consists of eight members – began to take shape in the rehearsal space of the Last of Fuzz collective. The original lineup of guitars, keyboards, and drums with bass is expanded with violin, trumpet, and saxophone. Their songs span genres ranging from indie rock, psychedelic, country rock, and midwest emo.
