The promoter's and band's statement regarding the cancellation:
Kensington have decided to officially cancel their European tour which has already been postponed twice. The Prague show, which was supposed to take place at MeetFactory, March 29th, is also cancelled, all tickets will be fully refunded at point of purchase. However we remain in touch with the band and hope to bring them over as soon as they hit the road again.
“It’s simply not possible at this moment to (re)schedule something as complex as a European tour. It sucks, but we feel this is the best and only possible decision at this time. Stay safe everyone. A big virtual hug, KST.”
Dutch indie rockers Kensington initially formed in Utrecht in 2005. The band recorded their debut album “Borders” with Kaiser Chiefs associate James Kenosha. The record, released in the summer of 2010, broke into the Dutch charts early the following year and led to first European tour and a contract with Universal. Kensington are coming back to Prague for the fifth time to introduce their new record “Time” out on November 15th. The band wrote and worked on the material in Vancouver where they wanted to look back on what has happened so far in their stormy career and take a breath before another never ending touring ride.
