The Prague band Good Times Only (GTO) is set to launch their third full-length album at MeetFactory

In contrast to their previous two releases Pěkný chvíle (2020) and Teď na to myslim (2023), GTO decided to take the path of creative and studio freedom, without the help of a producer. The songwriting on the new GTO tracks is even more direct than ever before — all five members worked on them in their own home studios. The lead single, titled GTFO, was made in collaboration with producer fiedlerski (Mirai, Ben Cristovao, Marcell).

A major shift in the sound of the five-piece boyband is a newly discovered forcefulness — there's more distorted guitar, rock influences, and abrasiveness. It's no coincidence that a band like Deftones showed up among the references in the working versions of the recordings. Alongside the piercing guitars, rich synth pads, as well as dirty breakbeats and a wavering piano appear; all of this contributes to a sonic density within which GTO nonetheless don't lose clarity, expressing themselves more distinctly than ever with their catchy Czech lyrics. Their love songs and reflections on crumbling relationships made way for confessions about personal insecurities, patterns of toxic behavior, but also fear of the future and experiences with therapy.
