Jacques Greene (CA) + Name Does Not Matter

If the Canadian producer Jacques Greene’s two-year-old debut was was the soundtrack to a dream pregame, the sophomore “intimate, yet immerse” (Pitchfork) album Dawn Chorus, release in late October, resides in the post-rave reflective moment of heightened sensuality. Greene has always been making music “about the club rather than for the club”, which he confirmed on the current set of twelve tracks, ranging from ruminative ambient breaks to low-key r’n’b hits shining through multi-texture sound collages. After few sold out album release shows, Jacques will be back in Europe for full-fledged shows early next year, with Prague being planned for January 22.
