Summer Cinema V| WINNER: IN THE MOOD FOR LOVE

An extraordinary piece within the frame of world cinema – that is In the Mood for Love made in 2000 by Chinese filmmaker Wong Kar-wai. This visually riveting film about a gradually deepening relationship between two neighbours who could have been lovers became an unforgettable classic after 16 years from its release. In the Mood for Love doesn’t cease to amaze us by its formal quality and precise, yet sensitive framing. The story of alienation and human closeness set in 1960’s China gave the filmmaker a chance to create an intimate portrait of moral dilemmas and our yearning for love which disarms us by its sensitivity, vivid colours and beautiful cinematography. 
Screening starts at 9:30 p.m. Entrance fee is 80 CZK, for visitors with permanent residency on Prague 5 with a 50% discount.
