The next-to-last in this year's series of MeetFactory’s summer concerts presents four projects from various corners of the contemporary experimental electronic scene. LilaTesla, defcatch, Staś Czekalski, and music lover anonymous will play MeetFactory’s backyard stage on Thursday, July 28.

LilaTesla is a sonic alchemist, blending shards of clubs and dancefloors together with glittering glitches and audio glam. Following her debut EP Jasmine Romance, which offered soothing soundscapes and warm embrace, LilaTesla released her debut album FATAL via Gin&Platonic. The record blends diverse ingredients into a seductive potion of late-night elegance, alluring like her self-composed perfume, which was part of her recent diploma. 

Music’s last day on earth in a post-modern world, compressed into every bit of a MacBook Pro. Explosive club deconstruction collides with cloudy melodic soundscapes and introspective lyrics. Through his live sets, defcatch creates immersive worlds shaped by abstract sound design and field recordings, guiding you toward places that once felt familiar, where mutated guitars and walls of noise coexist with dubstep growls and unexpected drops.

Staś Czekalski is a musical artist interested in everyday life and the stories that emerge from it. In 2024, he released his debut album Przygody on the Mondoj label,  a work capturing the intensity and intimacy of lived experience. Through a series of short compositions, the album evokes changing seasons, sunny walks, and fleeting impressions of places and moments. Earlier this year, he collaborated with Zach Howenstein (aka music lovers anonymous) on the EP October, released by Portraiture — a joyful exploration of collaborative creation.

music lover anonymous is the project of Upstate NY native, Zach Howenstein. His process observes often overlooked qualities of life, highlighting beauty in mundanity, and positioning the listener at a place in time . He is currently in the process of releasing his debut LP, I painted my fence in the rain so I could do it all over again, a practice in “exploring without a reason to conclude. Zach is also the head of the label Portraiture, and organizes a small, intimate show series titled Little Window out of his apartment in Kingston, NY.
