OPEN STUDIOS / GUIDED TOUR / PERFORMANCE / AFTERPARTY

Our residents will open their studios during the vibrant inter-genre evening. Look forward to exciting trip through the 10 studios of the 10 artists from different countries. Open Studios provide free and open community access to contemporary art to educate and create a dialog between artists and the general public by opening artist´s place of work.  

The part of the evening will be a guided tour of our current exhibition The Portent of Light (MeetFactory Gallery) with curator Jaro Varga and guided tour through the residential floor with curator artist-in-programme Zuzana Jakalová.  

Look forward to mobile bar at MeetFactory´s 1st floor with drink and food for everyone and surprising afterparty.

The international Artists­-in-Residence program was established in 2007 and is the largest studio program in the Czech Republic. MeetFactory facilitates fifteen studios, which annually host over thirty visual artists, curators, musicians, theater directors and writers. We foster the involvement of our artists in residence not only within the programming of MeetFactory (open studios, presentations, Public House, Museum Night, etc.) and its three exhibition spaces (exhibitions, performances, guided tours), but also in the context of the Czech and Central European art scenes.
