Prague Museum Night 2016 in MeetFactory

The 13th edition of Prague Museum Night will take place on Saturday 11 June. MeetFactory didn't want to stay behind and prepared a program which doesn't let you fall asleep: two art show openings, guided tours, open studios and afterparty till early morning.  

MeetFactory Gallery: Enacting Stillness: An Exhibition in Nine Parts / 7 pm - midnight (vernissage)
Enacting Stillness includes a group of visual and performance artists who are engaged with stillness, stoppage, and slowing down in the context of performance. Artists in the exhibition employ gestures that involve turning away, inward, and upward, upending our expectations for the continuity of dance and theatrical compositions and lines of movement and thought. Enacting Stillness considers the political and emotional potential that these unexpected ruptures might mean to both the artist and the viewer.

Rehan Ansari: Unburdened  / 7:25 pm (stage reading) 
The stage reading of Rehan Ansari´s new play Unburdened  directed by its author will be organised in collaboration with the MeetFactory Theatre. Cast: Ondřej Novák, Daniela Voráčková.

Kostka Gallery: Iza Tarasewicz: ULTRA HIGH TURBA TURBO III (background noise) / 8 pm – midnight (vernissage)
Iza Tarasziewicz is the MeetFactory's current artist in residence.Her practice distills, combines and redirects materials so as to rediscover hidden aspects and relations, while signifying a contingency or deficiency in understanding to access.

The residency and exhibition of Iza Tarasewicz in Kostka Gallery are supported by the International Visegrad Fund and by Polish Institute in Prague.

Residency floor: Open Studios / 7 pm - midnight
The MeetFactory´s artists-in-residence will present their current work. The studios will open: Alicja Rogalska (PL), Cristina David (RO), Urban Space Epics (US), Anne-Claire Barriga (FR), Iza Tarasewicz (PL), Alice de Mont (BE), Anna Konjetzky (DE), Robert Šalanda (CZ), Viktor Valášek (CZ)

The guided tour of the residency floor / 9 pm
The guided tour through the residential 1st floor with the curator of the MeetFactory artist-in-residency program  Zuzana Jakalová.  

Prague Museum Night 2016 official afterparty / 10 pm – 4 am
The afterparty will present the up-and-coming stars of the experimental electronics scene. The Program features the prospector of  the post-internet music universe M.E.S.H. (DE), radical sound experimenter Kablam! (SE/DE), producer uncompromising style of club music Why Be (DK/DE) and TOLE (DE/CZ) who indulges in original combinations of  visual arts and music.
