MeetFactory Soirée

Screening, performances and guided tour of the exhibition is the way how art dramaturgy of MeetFactory says goodbye to Healing 2.0 and Magic in a Time of Economic Progress exhibitions.

Healing 2.0 – introducing 
Tereza Jindrová, the curator of the exhibition, presents seven outstanding names from the emerging generation of Czech artists. Three foreign artists enrich the exhibition. The exhibition Healing 2.0 thematises, nowadays, various ways of looking at health, healing, therapies and prevention, from contemporary art perspective which places these issues into wider, society-wide context. 

Lucy Beech: Body Revenue
Body Revenue brings together a number of video works by British artist Lucy Beech (including a video produced together with her collaborator Edward Thomasson). The screening is presented as a public program alongside the group show Healing 2.0 curated by Tereza Jindrová. The screening further addresses a number of issues explored in Healing 2.0 including the role of technology and non-humans in medicine; collectivity; healing and self diagnosis in order to extend the exhibitions central theme of health and illness by including wider social, psychological and economical contexts.

Marie Lukáčová - performance talk
In Magic in a Time of Economic Progress, Marie connects a new music video (“a rap operetta”), with wall paintings and original furniture. This time, she focuses her attention on the world of banks, financial streams, and acquisition funds, so incomprehensible to so many of us. 

Cosmina Moroșan: Morfolina – performance
Trip-hop/ electronic/ experimental trap project by Romanian artist who is MeetFactory resident at this moment.
