Whitney K + Unkilled Worker

From outsider folk to political poetry. 

Whitney K, a folk–country musician and a nomadic songwriter from Yukon, Canada's land of bears and gold, transforms the mundane into the extraordinary in his work, brimming with masterful writing. "Everywhere is different and everywhere is the same."

His 2021 debut longplayer Two Years (which was preceded by a string of cassettes, singles and EPs), is a self-deprecating look at life on the move. Garage jams against as the backdrop of the meanderings of a lonesome country–poet, where where words, harmony and arrangements all dance unisono. Live on Tuesday, September 12 at MeetFactory.
