Adrian Altman

Adrian Altman (1993) has experience of a diverse opinion capital. He asks questions about the meaning of artistic work in the current cultural and especially political situation. During his studies, he went through a range of internships across different schools and studios. Currently, he is in his final year at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague in the studio of Josef Bolf, Jakub Hošek and Nik Timková.

Through self-irony to the strengthening of character.
Through social injustice to the bittersweet revolt.
The defense of the non-futile existence is an expression of maturity and selflessness.
A child in an adult body is not a disgrace.
Higher goals are a mission and a duty.
The decision to keep one’s eyes wide open.

Adrian went step by step through the studios of Michael Rittstein, Anna Daučíková and Tomáš Vaňek at the Academy of Fine Arts. He completed internships at FaVU in Brno with Luděk Rathouský, Temporary Arts FAMU with Jakub Jansa, Royal Institute of Art in Stockholm and an internship with the Viennese group Gelitin.
