RESIDENCY PROJECT
As part of their residency, anto_nie is continuing their work from the V4 Deconstructing Myths project. Through a collage of archival and staged folklore footage, in-game recordings and found footage, the forthcoming art video seeks to understand the position of white women in Euro-American politics. Through the character of Morana, an old woman dressed in traditional costume who must die so that spring may follow winter, they pose the questions: What position do white women hold within illiberal parties? And how does this position change with age, and how is this phenomenon linked to the decision to symbolically burn and drown the Minister of Culture Morana's place? The video is produced with the support of Artyčok.tv and the Visegrad Fund.
