Lucie Freynhagen

Lucie’s claim as an artist is creating a different moment of truth. This approach is one of the main focus that grows in her art pieces. Today Lucie consider her works as „Conceptual Experiences“. All her works are investigating an existing context under the view of the common sense, in a formal, social, place specific, historical and political way and try to expand it through her artistic transformation. Lucia’s works follows the idea of a counterpart in its surrounding. The content determine the form (format/media) and the form becomes an artistic level in her figured out artworks. Lucie’s profession is interdisciplinary fine Art. She did video artworks, installations, paintings, a lot of print works and sound works, as also sculptures all in the same time. So in the end Lucie’s artistic productions could be seen as an intervention and analysis of the common imagination of things, and also as an attempt of creating it in the same time.

Class for interdisciplinary and experimental painting Prof. Christian Sery
2011 Diploma Fine Arts HfBK Dresden
2011-2013 Master's degree at the HfBK Dresden (completion 2013)
