Natália Sýkorová (b.1998) is an artist and researcher whose work looks at infrastructures, either technological, ecological, biochemical, and the systems of belief and control built into them. Working across sculpture, sound, and installation, she builds environments that actively shape the world, turning visitors into participants in constant exchange with its surroundings. Her work is situated on the premises of speculations; notions which she investigates through the study of technology, infrastructures and hidden systems. She integrates critical research, science, and installations to reveal systems of transmission and containment that are by design kept concealed. They carry hidden values and decide who or what gets protected, made visible, or left exposed.
Residency dates: 5. 8. – 30.11.2026
RESIDENCY PROJECT
During her residency at MeetFactory, Natália will develop a new installation and instrument series continuing her research into the theological residue inside cryptographic infrastructure. Technology today promises a channel without noise, immune to interception, and integrity guaranteed by mathematics rather than trust. Natália treats this promise as a contemporary cosmology: a system of oracles, seals, and thresholds. Her self-built instruments stage encryption as ritual apparatus, complete with gatekeeping, sacrifice, and revelation. Her creative process will merge critical research, sound with expanded storytelling, asking what forms of governance are smuggled into the language of "security," and what opens up politically and bodily at the moment a secure channel fails.
