Tomek Pawłowski-Jarmołajew

Tomek Pawłowski-Jarmołajew (b. 1995 in Sokółka, Poland) is a curator of performance and exhibitions, and an events and meeting producer living between Poznań and Białystok, Poland. They use collective practices, critical entertainment, and politics of friendship as a main guiding framework. They are the curator of numerous exhibitions, performances, and projects in collaboration with artists and collectives from younger generations, as well as independent galleries, and institutions in Poland.  Their curatorial projects and exhibitions were shown among others in Warsaw, Gdańsk, Cracow, Białystok, Poznań, Sophia, Berlin. Recently they've co-curated the inaugural edition of Zielona Góra Biennale. In 2017 Pawłowski-Jarmołajew co-curated (along with Romuald Demidenko and Aurelia Nowak) The Open Triennial: the 8th Young Triennial at the Center for Polish Sculpture in Orońsko.  They are also the co-curator (with Magdalena Adameczek and Ola Polerowicz) of Sandra Art Gallery, the nomadic agency associating with and supporting emerging female artists from Poznań. Together with visual artist Adelina Cimochowicz they develop culinary projects. Author of interviews with artists published by Magazyn Szum. Passionate with cooking and karaoke. 

Education: 
Pawłowski-Jarmołajew studied Curating and Art Theories at University of Arts in Poznań. They participated in alternative curatorial programs in Sofia (2018, School of Curators at Swimming Pool curated by Viktoria Draganova) and Belgrade (2019, What Could/ Should Curating Do? curated and organised by Biljana Ciric).
