In her play entitled ‘He is not himself‘, Nobel prize winner, Elfriede Jelinek, looks at the question of identity through the life of Swiss writer, Robert Walser. Walser spent the last 30 years of his life hiding in a psychiatric ward where he stopped writing and existing as an individual human being.
