Summer Cinema: The Wizard of Oz

“Toto, I’ve got a feeling we’re not in Kansas anymore.”

The 12th of August, 1939. The day a tornado first swept through and carried little Dorothy and her dog Toto to the magical Land of Oz. The Yellow Brick Road leading to the ruler of the Emerald City, the Scarecrow yearning for a brain, the Tin Man searching for a heart, the Cowardly Lion seeking courage, the ruby slippers, the song “Over the Rainbow” – this fairy tale starring Judy Garland instantly became an icon of the Hollywood silver screen.

Free Entry

Summer cinema returns to MeetFactory for the fourteenth time. A curated selection of eleven films will be screened in the Factory's backyard, as selected by the members of the venue's team. In June and July, the screenings begin at 9:30 p.m.; in August and September at 8:30 p.m. Before the film, the current exhibitions in MeetFactory Gallery and Kostka Gallery can be visited free of charge. A bar is available on site, and admission to all screenings is free.
